  • Ah, if only disney made this a movies around the 80s or 90s. they could have censored the death a bit or not and make kid friendly. But I would want to see a song part with the three who received Hamlet's letter and how they will make Hamlet's death seem like an accident.

  • Hamlet is my favorite play. If all you are doing is watching this, then you aren't enjoying the play. I also made this motivational shirt based on the play:

  • 6:02 Hamlet realized who they're burying
It's Ophelia, the only woman he loved in his life.. He rushed to it, jumped into the grave, looked at Ophelia, hugged her , and started crying… swearing 'Ophelia I love you I loved you more than anyone,'
He lost his Father and now Ophelia
Oh poor Hamlet what happened to you… You were Prince once but now just a poor Man who is crying for the loss of his loved ones

  • One of the most ridiculous and dumbest stories i ever had the misfortune to be forced to study about in any English class i have and will ever be in.

  • I couldn't focus on the story because of your beautiful accent and nice voice 😂 Omg I can repeat this video like forever💕😍

  • What about the turning point where hamlet sees fortinbras attacking that pointless piece of land with an entire army ? Good summary tho.

  • My faculty has nothing but this one thing to say in circles as a catchphrase "Do not summarize" funnily enough its summary that actually helps when i m trying to get the gist of the play 😂💗💗

  • does anybody know who the artist for the channel banner art is? that's the only art featured on this channel that I can't find credits for

  • So this is a good but REALLY basic summary. So many topics are relevant in Hamlet (which are mostly subliminal), and this video mentions none of them: putting on a false face, whether the ghost is an evil spirit, unnatural deaths, when to think or not think, death is the ultimate equalizer, etc. The internal/external conflicts, motifs, humor and other stuff that Shakespeare fits into Hamlet are what make this play great. Also,
    1. Ophelia says she won't speak to Hamlet, but really she will still talk to him
    2. The climax is when Claudius has his back to Hamlet while praying, and Hamlet could kill him
    3. Hamlet doesn't escape from the pirates, he makes Claudius pay to get him back
    4. Claudius lets Gertrude drink the poison because he is a coward, he actually has time to stop her
    5. Hamlet tells Fortinbras to be king as he is dying
    6. Fortinbras didn't arrive as a visit to Claudius, he came to conquer Denmark

  • Everyone in the Lion King's comment section saying that Lion King is based on Shakespear's Hamlet. So it brought me here.

  • I know this is summarized. But other than the uncle killing the king. I cant really see any similarities to the lion king.

  • Thanks for the good short summary.

Initially I'm thankful, because now I know the story without spending a relatively lot more time than reading the play or watch one of the adaptation. Yet, somehow now I feel the need to read the original play, and after that most likely will try to find out which one is the recommended adaptation to watch.
