“I was working before I came to campus on
a business where I can voice for climate change like climate change activists you
can say and get the word out of what’s going on around the world people are not
being aware of what’s going on in our climate and it might not affect us as
human beings now but it may affect that kids and our kids kids I came up with my
business eco bamboo living because I was very worried about climate change and I
just loved homes and so it’s been one of my goals to bring the concept of having
a bamboo home in the United States because it would be an alternative
attack deforestation and the carbon emissions I’m constantly busy on a daily
basis I’m always renting out books in regards
to construction in regards to learning about bamboo and regards to anything
that’s gonna help me develop in my business coming for countless amounts of
research you know just staying here for hours reading books even though we’re
technology driven, the smartest people read and the smartest people you know
look for other sources outside of our screens constantly every day tackling it
is like my part-time job it’s constantly hard so you know I go from school from
home work studying to time for myself to eating to a business researching. I’m
from the Lower East Side of Manhattan growing up wasn’t so perfect there was a
lot of violence going on there is you know gang members on the street selling
dope it was tough because I had bigger dreams and hopes I grew up in a
single-mother household who takes care of me and my brother there wouldn’t be
me without my mom she’s my foundation so she continues to work hard for both of
us she’s like my best friend everything I do has to be for her been a young
entrepreneur especially a land ex entrepreneur it was difficult because I
feel like there’s not a lot of entrepreneurs there are people of color
I feel like there’s a lot of people of color who don’t believe that they can do
anything in this world because the white people run the
you run the show but I’m not I don’t believe that you know I believe I’m a
firm believer just going out there and doing the people who are the strongest
or the ones who overcome those hardships I can motivate millenials or people of color
that there’s something going on and it’s our duty you know that we can voice
ourselves and you know make a difference
