So you’ve done all your research for your job interview, you’ve practiced common job interview questions and the butterflies still won’t seem to go away. So let’s be honest here. Nobody really looks forward to job interviews. They can be scary, nerve-racking, and stressful. But here are some tips on how you can work through the nerves. First, drink some tea. Herbal tea is a great way to relax the muscles so you can really focus on the job interview. Ew, but wait! Make sure it’s cooled down first. Second, wash out the nerves. Take a long shower or bath. It will help you become more relaxed, alert, and help you bring your A game. Third, just breathe. Take long deep breaths to increase the oxygen in your body and this will help you relax before you go in. Fourth, treat yourself. Plan an activity after your interview. Something you know you’ll enjoy. For example, going out to get ice cream will give you something to look forward to when the interviews over. Fifth, believe in yourself. Now is really not the time for negative, self-destructing thoughts. Go in knowing in your head that you are right for the position and you’ve done everything you can to prepare for this interview. If you walk in feeling defeated, it will show in your answers and you’re way better than that. So thanks for joining us today.
